- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $2,010 (travel radiology jobs)
- Location: New Haven, CT 06510 — Level I Trauma Center (New Haven, Connecticut)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start Date: 5/4/2026 – End Date: 8/3/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: Mid/Night – 3x12-hour shifts (15:45 – 04:15), Monday & Friday every week, Saturday & Sunday every other week
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
- Setting: Emergency Department, inpatient portable imaging (trauma imaging, pediatric and adult)
- Charting: Epic (electronic medical record experience preferred)
- Scrub Color: Teal
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) experience; 1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma or travel radiology experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Active Connecticut state Radiology license required (pending accepted; must be active prior to start)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience performing Emergency Department radiography and inpatient portable imaging (Fuji, Carestream)
- Ability to function independently in both pediatric and adult clinical settings
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- One professional reference required
- Not accepting local candidates — must live more than 75 miles from facility (travel radiology requirement)
Responsibilities
- Perform general radiography and emergency radiology procedures for pediatric and adult patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units
- Operate and troubleshoot Fuji and Carestream portable imaging equipment
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media as needed according to protocol
- Maintain infection prevention, isolation precautions, and appropriate PPE
- Ensure radiation safety protocols and dose-reduction practices are followed
- Document procedures, patient information, and imaging results accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary radiology, emergency, and trauma teams to deliver high-quality imaging for trauma cases and routine studies
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while working efficiently in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
