• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200 (competitive travel nurse pay)

• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Unit (Med/Surg Telemetry / Stepdown)
• Facility Level: Level IV trauma center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days, 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (first-time travelers welcome)
• EMR: EPIC required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg and Stepdown RN experience (Telemetry RN experience preferred)
• Active RN license in Iowa (must be willing to apply for Illinois license if offered)
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Comfortable managing acute patient populations: critical drips/gtts, Bipap, telemetry monitoring
• Ability to float within the same discipline across local campuses and to the ER
• Must have a taxable address outside 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Submission requirements: driver’s license, resume/work history, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, copies of required certifications, and one supervisory reference

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Med/Surg Telemetry and Stepdown units
• Monitor and manage telemetry, critical drips/gtts, and Bipap for acute and stepdown patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers) to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to the Emergency Department and other units as needed within the same discipline
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to meet unit standards and travel nurse onboarding
