Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Urbana, IL 61801 (Urbana healthcare jobs – Champaign County)
• Assignment Type: Travel
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
• Hours per Week: 36/48 hour rotation (guaranteed 36 hours/week)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days or nights as required)
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• On-Site Position: Acute care clinical role at a local hospital/healthcare facility

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college, university, or nursing program (degree or diploma in nursing)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois (or eligible for RN licensure in Illinois)
• Valid driver’s license
• U.S. Citizenship required for ICE clearance (expedited clearance available; thorough background & credit investigation required)
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience preferred (acute care, hospital nursing, or clinical experience preferred)
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
• Open availability for scheduling per facility policy (ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities – Acute Care RN

• Provide comprehensive acute care nursing services, including clinical assessments, medication administration, and executing provider orders
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures; prepare exam rooms and necessary equipment
• Manage medication dispensing and pill call processes with accurate documentation
• Assess patients with illnesses or injuries; initiate referrals to the emergency department or specialty services as needed
• Perform emergency nursing interventions and notify providers for treatment orders
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by licensed and non-licensed medical staff, ensuring high-quality clinical support
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient medical records in compliance with facility policies
• Support audits, reporting, accreditation activities, and safety/accident documentation
• Provide patient education and health counseling to individuals and groups as part of care planning
• Inspect clinical areas for safety, contraband, and ensure proper storage/disposal of medical supplies
