Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 – $2,480
• Location: Atlantic, Iowa (50022) — nursing jobs in Iowa / Atlantic IA
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 2, 2026 – July 2, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Shift: 12-hour nights, every third weekend
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN (On-site)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (valid in the U.S.)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg or Obstetrics (L&D/postpartum) nursing experience
• Relevant nursing certification
• BLS (AHA) required
• Ability to float to the med-surg floor as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery patients
• Monitor patient progress, assess clinical status, and administer medications per policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, neonatal, anesthesia, med-surg) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to the med-surg floor when obstetric census is low to support broader clinical needs
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation
• Deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced night-shift environment; triage and escalate concerns appropriately
