Job Details

• Title: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Critical Care Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Location: Kirksville, MO (63501) — Missouri travel nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (48hr/week guarantees may be accommodated)
• Unit: ICU (10 beds) — critical care setting
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–3
• EMR: MedHost
• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Floating: Occasionally required
• Blocked scheduling: May be approved upon request

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact where applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU / critical care nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Experience with ventilators, vasoactive drip titration, and advanced cardiac support
• Balloon pump, Impella, and trauma care experience preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Ability to document accurately in MedHost EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult ICU patients
• Manage ventilators and perform drip titration for vasoactive medications
• Care for patients requiring advanced cardiac support (Impella, balloon pump)
• Respond to and manage trauma cases as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, case management) for optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in MedHost
• Float to other units as required and adapt to changing clinical needs
