Job Details
- Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet-designated hospital
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:30 – 17:00); holiday rotation and 1 weekend shift per contract
- On-call: Up to 4 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule
- Charting: EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Garage parking available for a nominal fee
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
- Active South Carolina RN or Multi-State/Compact RN license. Pending license accepted with proof of application
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
- Experience in Level I trauma and sterile scrub experience strongly preferred
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and cross-cover like units or sister facilities
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for surgical procedures across specialties including trauma, transplant, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams, including RNs and Certified Surgical Technologists
- Provide high-quality patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room environment
- Participate in holiday, weekend rotations and on-call coverage per contract
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, emergency response protocols, and seasonal disaster assignments (including hurricane season)
