Job Details – Surgical Tech / OR Tech (Charleston, SC)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,120 – $1,200
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Location: Charleston, SC (South Carolina) – Main Operating Room, Teaching Facility, Level I Trauma Center
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call: Up to 4 call shifts per month (end of shift to 7:00 AM)
- Weekend Coverage: Minimum 1 weekend shift per month
- Charting / EMR: EPIC experience preferred
- Scrubs / Parking: Scrub color provided; convenient garage parking for a one-time $20 registration

Job Requirements – Surgical Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech (first-timers accepted)
- NBSTSA certification required (MUSC does NOT accept NCCT)
- BLS certification required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- Experience with Neuro (spine/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (DaVinci Xi) highly preferred
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units/sister facilities
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Responsibilities – Main OR Surgical Tech Duties
- Assist in a wide variety of surgical cases: Orthopedics (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (crani, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics (DaVinci Xi), Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, GU/GYN
- Provide fast-paced, high-acuity support in a Level I Trauma Center operating room
- Set up instrumentation, maintain sterile field, pass instruments, and handle specimens per protocol
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Certified Surgical Technologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in emergency response teams and seasonal disaster readiness (hurricane season: June–November)
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, complete required pre-start modules, and assist with unit float needs
