- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Job Type: Travel Nurse – Operating Room (Perioperative RN / OR RN)
- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (Charleston healthcare jobs / South Carolina nursing jobs)
- Setting: Main Operating Room, Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated hospital
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-call: Up to 4 call shifts per month (EoS-7a)
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per month (Saturday or Sunday)
- Holiday Requirement: At least one holiday period
- Charting: EPIC (EPIC experience preferred)
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Garage parking available with $20 registration fee
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience (2 years strongly preferred); perioperative experience, including scrub and circulating roles
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license accepted (pending state license considered with proof of application)
- BLS required (ACLS preferred)
- Radiation badge provided by agency
- Scrub experience and robotic surgery experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred (trauma OR nursing jobs)
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs (float to like units/sister facilities)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics
- Perform perioperative nursing duties as a scrub nurse and circulating nurse in a high-acuity OR setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams, surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff in a fast-paced academic environment
- Provide high-quality patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Participate in on-call rotations, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Float between like units/sister facilities as needed to meet patient care needs
- Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC charting system
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and emergency response protocols (including hurricane season June–November)
