Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Facility (Cardiac Cath Lab)

Job Requirements (Cath Lab Nurse / Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience — Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab required (cardiac catheterization, PCI experience preferred)
Active Illinois RN license in hand
ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross only)
Cerner charting experience required
Ability to float within hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed (float pool flexibility)
Willingness to work 2–3 weekends per contract and 2 out of 3 major holidays
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities (Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology Nurse)

Circulate and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for adult patients
Perform left and right heart catheterizations and pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) monitoring
Administer and monitor procedural sedation and manage patient recovery
Interpret and manage dysrhythmias during procedures and collaborate with rapid response teams
Continuously monitor patient status throughout procedures and document care in Cerner
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff including cardiologists, technologists, and anesthesia
Float to other units within scope as needed to meet facility needs
Participate in orientation and complete required modules by deadlines
