- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,720 – $1,820 (competitive travel nursing pay)

- Setting: Oncology Pod – Emergency Department (Oncology Emergency Nurse role)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: May 4, 2026 – End: August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
- Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse, Travel RN)
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
Key Qualifications (Travel RN / ER RN)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Oncology experience preferred (oncology emergency care or oncology nursing)
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Submission of requested time off (RTO) required at application
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
Responsibilities (Emergency Room / Oncology Emergency)
- Deliver high-acuity emergency care to oncology patients and general ED population (adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
- Provide oncology-focused emergency nursing including symptom management and urgent oncology interventions
- Float as needed within the Emergency Department to support ED operations
- Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and administer emergency medications and infusions
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP; assist with airway management and intubation care
- Administer blood products and manage central lines, including assessment and troubleshooting
- Apply isolation precautions and appropriate PPE for immunocompromised oncology patients
- Perform triage, respond to rapid response situations, and participate in code and emergency protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and oncology specialists
