Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,240 – $1,330
- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (Charleston travel surgical tech jobs / South Carolina surgical tech)
- Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x10-hour (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM); includes Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call: None
- Parking: Convenient garage parking available for a one-time registration fee
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech / perioperative tech experience required
- Certification: NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; BLS (AHA) required
- Experience highly preferred in Neuro (spine/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (DaVinci Xi)
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- First-time travel surgical techs accepted
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units/sister facilities
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in a wide variety of surgical procedures: Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (crani, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics (DaVinci Xi), Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, GU/GYN
- Provide perioperative support as an Operating Room (OR) Tech / Surgical Technologist in a busy, nurse-driven OR
- Maintain strict sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical team and adapt to cutting-edge OR technology
- Float as needed to support the full range of Main OR cases and assist with orientation and required modules prior to start
- Be prepared to join emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
