• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 - $2,210 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Utica, NY (13502) — travel nursing job in New York
• Setting: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), Cardiac Stepdown / PCU
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM); 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel (travel nurse, cardiac nursing role)

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in IMCU/PCU or Cardiac Stepdown; travel nursing experience preferred
• Active RN license in New York (and all other RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EPIC EMR experience required (documentation and charting proficiency)
• Completed skills checklist matching cardiac stepdown specialty
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Ability to float to other units as needed; strong critical care and telemetry skills

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients (18+) with cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and post-op diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from MI, CV stepdown, sepsis, DKA, COPD, and other complex conditions
• Care for patients with specialty equipment: temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines (A-lines), BiPAP, Neptune Vapo, and chronic vents (RT support available)
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and timely clinical assessments consistent with cardiac nursing best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, pharmacy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and adhere to unit protocols (uniform: navy blue scrubs)
• Float to other units as required to meet patient care needs
