• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 - $2,150 (competitive travel nurse pay)

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), Night Shift
• Assignment Duration: 8-13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (night shift RN)

Job Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside critical care clinical experience (critical care RN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Ability to supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and orientees

Responsibilities

• Maintain delivery of quality, patient-centered care by following the nursing care plan
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and document findings
• Develop individualized plans of care and identify patient teaching needs and goals
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses (electronic charting)
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission to support recovery
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to support continuity and patient safety
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and support staff
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control practices
• Contribute positively to the unit environment and participate in team-building activities
• Assume charge responsibility as requested after orientation
• Prioritize activities for effective use of time and staff in meeting patient needs
• Identify and pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study (ongoing career development for RNs)
