Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Springfield, VT (zip 05156) — Vermont travel RN jobs / Vermont nursing jobs
• Setting: Adaptive Acuity Unit (IPCU) – Med/Surg Tele / Med Surg Telemetry
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 7/27/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Tele (med-surg/telemetry) experience
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly required
• Drip experience required (Insulin, Esmolol, Sodium drips)
• Minimum 3 months previous travel RN experience (non-negotiable) — travel nursing jobs background preferred
• ICU experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Small critical access facility experience preferred
• Active Vermont RN License or Compact License
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Skills checklists for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU (current to 1 year)
• One supervisory signed reference from the past two years
• Must have own vehicle; willingness to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN in an adaptive acuity unit (IPCU)
• Manage assigned nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:5 for Med/Surg; 3:1 for PCU)
• Administer and carefully monitor drips (Insulin, Esmolol, Sodium) with accurate documentation
• Float to other inpatient units as needed and work collaboratively across departments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain timely, accurate charting and uphold facility standards and policies
• Participate in charge nurse duties if qualified and support unit operations
