Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Telemetry (Travel Nurse)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $2010 (competitive weekly pay)
• Location: Barberton, Ohio (44203) — Ohio nursing jobs / Barberton, OH Telemetry RN
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 3, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 4 South – 24-bed mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract (Travel nurse assignment)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent PCU/Telemetry RN experience (telemetry nursing, cardiac monitoring)
• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Epic EMR and phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months required
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• Ability to float to other units as needed (float pool flexibility)
• Completion of all onboarding health and professional requirements (MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, TB, drug screen, criminal background check, education verification, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients requiring telemetry and progressive care (cardiac and medical acuity)
• Monitor and assess cardiovascular and neurological patients, including frequent NIH Stroke Scale assessments
• Administer medication drips and manage isolation precautions, including COVID-19 patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 per unit standards
• Accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other units based on staffing needs for flexible coverage
