• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Rotating weekly schedule – 4x10 hour shifts (Day: 07:00–17:00, Night: 20:00–06:00)
• Employment Type: Travel Pharmacist, On-site (Inpatient Pharmacy)
• Start Date: April 27, 2026 (preferred start within 3-5 weeks)
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Required Qualifications

• PharmD or RPh required
• Active Texas pharmacist license (in-hand at submission) — required for Texas pharmacist positions
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience (clinical pharmacist, hospital pharmacy, or acute care pharmacist experience)
• Experience with Meditech Expanse charting system preferred
• Clinical experience with anticoagulation therapy, cardiac dosing, pharmacokinetic (PK) dosing, renal dosing, and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Experience with high-alert medications, antibiotics, chemotherapy preparation, warfarin dosing, and renal medications
• Experience with prepacking and Pyxis/automated dispensing systems
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Travel pharmacist experience highly preferred (travel contract experience)

Primary Responsibilities – Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for neonatal through adult patient populations in an inpatient hospital setting
• Ensure accurate medication dispensing and medication safety, including management of high-alert and specialty medications
• Perform clinical dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring; adjust dosing for renal/hepatic impairment and PK-guided therapies
• Support anticoagulation management, warfarin dosing protocols, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
• Prepare and verify chemotherapy and other specialty compounded medications per policy
• Maintain and manage automated dispensing systems (Pyxis), prepacking duties, and inventory control
• Utilize Meditech Expanse for documentation, charting, and medication reconciliation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, nurses, and allied health staff—to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in rotating shifts and weekend coverage to support continuous inpatient pharmacy services
