Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience; open-heart surgery experience (CABG) required
• Ability to scrub and circulate — scrub nurse and circulating nurse duties expected
• Experience with structural heart procedures and advanced cardiac surgery preferred
• First-time travelers accepted — travel nurse opportunities available
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two supervisor references required

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for complex heart and vascular cases in the CVOR
• Provide intraoperative support for structural heart cases, including TAVR and other catheter-based procedures
• Assist with cardiac and vascular surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, MAZE, mitral valve replacement, aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, and more
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses like CAD, Afib/Aflutter, PVD, PE, AAA, and carotid stenosis
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call rotations
