Job Requirements (Qualifications)
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech experience required
- ARRT (R) certification required (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
- Active Illinois state license required at time of application
- BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only)
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred; PACS proficiency preferred
- Previous charge role and community hospital experience preferred
- Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during contract
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging for outpatient urgent care patients across all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Conduct imaging studies including abdomen, chest, upper airway, facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, joints, extremities, spine, pelvis, and trauma imaging
- Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles for patient and staff protection
- Adhere to infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
- Document exams accurately using PACS and Cerner charting systems
- Participate in on-call rotation and required orientation/modules prior to start
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary radiology and clinical teams to deliver excellent patient care
