- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Boston healthcare / Boston nursing jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel nursing job)
- Work Setting: On-site, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Contract Guarantee: All assignments guarantee 72 hours biweekly (every two weeks), excluding any on-call time worked.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or CCU nursing experience (cardiac ICU experience required)
- Strong proficiency with pulmonary artery (PA) lines and transvenous pacing
- Expertise in advanced cardiac care — surgical or medical cardiology experience preferred
- Preferred experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support (IABP, Impella) and other MCS devices
- Active Massachusetts RN license (required at time of submission) — Massachusetts RN / MA license
- ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from facility (no local travelers)
- Ability to attend weekly orientation (every Monday, barring holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the CVICU (cardiac ICU nurse responsibilities)
- Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips as indicated
- Utilize PA lines, transvenous pacing, and Mechanical Circulatory Support (IABP, Impella) devices as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, perfusion, respiratory therapy) to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and orientation specific to the CVICU and travel nurse integration
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical safety protocols
