- Setting: Academic Medical Center – Nuclear Medicine (PET/CT), molecular imaging and diagnostic imaging
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour days
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Site: Required (no remote)
- On-Call: No on-call
- Parking: Available (costs may apply)
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an academic medical center, preferably with PET/CT experience; PET/CT technologist experience preferred
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- Must obtain Massachusetts RT license if not already held (Massachusetts nuclear medicine license)
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles (ALARA) and USP<825> compliance
- Proficiency in venipuncture and glucometer operation
- Experience with DICOM/PACS workflows and image transfer to MIM and McKesson
- Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)
- Must not have worked at Beth Israel Lahey Health as permanent or per diem within the last six months
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform PET/CT imaging and diagnostic nuclear medicine studies following department protocols
- Operate Siemens Biograph CT 64 and Medrad Intego automated injector for PET/CT exams
- Prepare and handle unit doses of FDG, Posluma, Amyvid, Dotatate, Cerianna with strict adherence to radiation safety and USP<825> procedures
- Perform patient screening, consenting, and pre-exam checks; scan documents and verify patient identity prior to imaging
- DICOM push of images to MIM and McKesson PACS and verify image quality; enter exam charges and documentation accurately
- Maintain hotlab and incubation room: clean cameras and rooms after use, stock supplies, and follow safe radiopharmaceutical handling
- Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care
