Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift in Tulsa, OK. 13-week hospital travel contract; NBRC RRT/CRT and Oklahoma RCP required. Join a dedicated respiratory care team providing adult and pediatric critical care services.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,860 (competitive travel respiratory therapist pay)

- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Care Unit (Adult ICU & PICU)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), every other weekend rotation — night shift travel RRT
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract Respiratory Therapist
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with critical care or PICU experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Valid Oklahoma Provisional / Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) or temporary letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board
- Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT) through the NBRC
- BLS (AHA) — must obtain within 2 months of hire if not currently held
- Strong clinical skills in mechanical ventilation (invasive & non-invasive), airway management, and pediatric/adult respiratory care
- Excellent communication, documentation, and basic PC skills for clinical charting
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate respiratory care services across non-critical and critical care areas, including ICU and PICU
- Provide mechanical ventilation management, adjust ventilator settings, and monitor patient parameters
- Deliver aerosol therapy, nebulized medication administration, humidification, incentive spirometry, PEP therapy, and pulse oximetry
- Perform airway procedures such as suctioning, intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy assist, and assist with CPR/code responses
- Document clinical findings accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and communicate changes in patient status
- Respond promptly to code blues, RIT/CRIT calls, and patient transports
- Mentor new personnel and participate in departmental quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes
