• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,790 - $1,920
• Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 — respiratory therapy jobs in West Virginia
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights — 12-hour shifts, 3x12 hours per week (weekends and holidays as scheduled)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Care Setting: Acute hospital — NICU, Pediatrics, Adult ICU/MedSurg
• Start Date: April 2, 2026

Qualifications / Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted if credentialed prior to 7/1/2022
• Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist across NICU, Pediatrics, and Adult acute care
• Demonstrated ability to independently intubate pediatric and adult patients
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (AHA) required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Previous NICU experience preferred; gray scrubs required

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and implement physician-ordered respiratory care plans in acute and critical care settings
• Manage mechanical ventilation, ventilator adjustments, weaning, and advanced ventilator modes (Servo U, Hamilton G5/T1, Phillips Respironics V60)
• Provide airway management, intubation, resuscitation, and advanced life support interventions
• Administer therapies: oxygen, humidity therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, inhalers, postural drainage, chest physiotherapy, and ABG analysis
• Perform EKGs as required and float between units (NICU, ER, ICU, MedSurg) as needed
• Maintain high standards of teamwork, patient-centered care, compliance, and documentation in the EMR
