Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840 (travel nurse pay)

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 21, 2026 – July 21, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts — Med/Surg RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 5A Med/Surg (24 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech (EHR experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Any (no casual wear)

Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active RN license in Virginia (Med/Surg Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required)
• HWC available on-site
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Consent to random drug screening and completion of Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse Med/Surg population (all ages) in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Assess, monitor, document, and report patient condition and response to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Deliver safe nursing interventions related to surgical services and advanced cardiac care
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital staffing needs
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation to maintain clinical competencies
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and Meditech EHR documentation standards
