• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); holiday rotation
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 (critical care RN staffing)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes — within scope / between like units
• Charting / EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience caring for cardiac and neuro critical care patients (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel RN / travel nurse experience required
• Cardiac and neuro ICU experience required (post-open heart, post-neurosurgery care)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand prior to start
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience preferred — critical care charting experience a plus
• Not accepting first-time travelers or local candidates (must live outside a 60-mile radius)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities (Cardiac ICU / Neuro ICU)

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
• Manage complex cardiac and neuro cases, including post-open heart and post-neurosurgery patients
• Monitor and manage advanced ICU devices: chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan-Ganz, cardiac output monitors
• Administer emergency medications and titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips
• Perform arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and other critical care procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and ancillary services)
• Float to like units as needed and participate in holiday/weekend rotations
• Maintain accurate Epic charting and documentation consistent with hospital policy
