- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,080 – $2,190
- Location: Chicago, IL 60637 (Chicago healthcare jobs / Illinois nursing jobs)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Travel, On-site (Travel Nurse – Wound Care RN)
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand (required)
- Minimum ~1 year relevant wound care experience recommended; less than 2 years accepted
- Direct wound care consultation experience preferred
- Experience as a patient educator in wound care strongly desired
- Ability to assess, dress, and manage arterial, venous, pressure, and surgical wounds
- Ability to write orders for MD review and educate nursing staff on wound care protocols
- Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation modules
- Wound care certification (WOCN/CWCN/WCC) a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert wound care consultations and clinical wound management across the facility
- Assess wound types and develop individualized care plans to optimize healing
- Perform wound dressing changes, advanced wound care procedures, and documentation
- Write orders for physician sign-off and ensure accurate charting and follow-up
- Educate nursing staff, patients, and families on wound prevention, care plans, and best practices
- Serve as a resource and clinical educator for interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
