Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,540 – $2,680 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Easton, MD (21601) — Maryland travel nursing / Eastern Shore
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30), with one late shift per week (10:00 – 20:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-call: Required; must be within 30 minutes of facility when scheduled
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Contract End Date: August 3, 2026

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab (Cath Lab RN / Interventional Cardiology RN)
• First-time travel nurses considered if they have a proven 3-year Cath Lab background
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• CPI certification (may be completed onsite during orientation)
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) / Epic charting experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Comfortable floating to pre-op/PACU within unit/specialty as needed
• Locals: must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (typical travel nurse distance requirement)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 2-room Cardiac Cath Lab with an average daily census of 7–14 cases
• Assist with interventional cardiology procedures including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), pacemaker insertion, loop recorder placement, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and cardioversions
• Operate and support specialized Cath Lab equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP / Balloon Pump) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFib, and bradycardia
• Participate in on-call rotations (approximately 10–13 call shifts/month), including weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Float to pre-op/PACU within unit/specialty as needed
• Maintain infection prevention protocols and adhere to radiation and laser safety standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, Respiratory Therapy, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response, and Pharmacy
