Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,190 – $2,360
- Position / Role: Interventional Radiology Technologist, IR Technologist, Interventional Radiology Tech (travel allied health)
- Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department (medical imaging, radiology)
- Location: Overland Park, KS – Kansas healthcare job (zip code 66213)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30); 40 hours/week
- On-Call: Weeknights (about 1–2 per week) and every 5th weekend (call only)
- Floating: May assist in X-ray and other imaging departments as needed
- Charting / EMR: EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Imaging Equipment: GE Innova IGS, PACS
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience (IR procedures)
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Active Kansas LRT license in good standing
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Experience with EPIC EMR and GE Innova IGS equipment
- Proficiency in interventional radiology and special procedures (embolization, angiography, biopsies, port placements, etc.)
- Ability to float to X-ray and other imaging departments when required
- Two professional references from the past year (one supervisor-level or above preferred)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Must complete required modules and compliance prior to start
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including aortography, angiography, embolization, stent placement, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, vertebroplasty, and central venous access/port placement
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment (GE Innova IGS, PACS) and maintain image quality for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Maintain sterile technique, adhere to isolation precautions, and follow PPE protocols
- Prepare access sites, assist with patient positioning, and monitor patient condition during procedures
- Stock supplies, maintain equipment inventory, and ensure procedure rooms are ready for cases
- Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging data in EPIC EMR
- Respond to rapid response/code situations and participate in the on-call rotation for weeknights and weekends
- Float to X-ray and other imaging departments as required to support clinical operations
