- Position: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Emergency Department RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,110

- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36

- Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
- Floating: Required within specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience (trauma and acute care experience preferred)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS (AHA only)
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Community hospital and ED experience preferred
- Comfortable providing care across all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Ability to float within hospital and to sister facilities as needed
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
- Permanent residence must be 50 miles or more from the facility (travel nurse distance requirement)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department / ER
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and interventions for trauma, acute medical illness, and behavioral health emergencies
- Administer emergency medications, manage ventilated patients, and perform procedural sedation
- Interpret arterial blood gases, recognize and manage dysrhythmias, and obtain 12-lead ECGs
- Respond to STEMI and stroke codes, manage overdose/toxicology cases, and support rapid response teams
- Care for patients with violent behavior and acute mental/behavioral health conditions safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Float to other units and facilities within scope as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, EMR documentation standards (Epic preferred), and infection control practices
