Job Details

• Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
• Location: Corsicana, TX 75110 (Central Texas travel nursing)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: 3:30 PM – 6:30 AM one day per week and one weekend per month (rotating)
• Scrubs Provided
• Charting: Paper charting (operating room documentation)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 (one patient per nurse in the operating room)

Qualifications (OR RN / Perioperative Nurse)

• Active RN licensure (state license required). Travel RNs living >50 miles from the facility preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience as an OR RN or perioperative nurse
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties: General Surgery, Endoscopy, Robotic Surgery, Orthopedics, and some Vascular procedures
• Strong communication, teamwork, and perioperative assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for pre-op, intra-op, and immediate post-op surgical patients
• Assist and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures including general, endoscopy, robotic, orthopedic, and vascular cases
• Follow sterile technique, surgical safety protocols, and OR best practices to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate paper charting and documentation for surgical cases and perioperative care
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond per facility guidelines
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and the perioperative team
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
• Deliver individualized care with a 1:1 patient-to-nurse ratio in the operating room, ensuring focused attention and safety for each surgical patient
