Immediate opening for an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with NRP, ACLS, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,820
- Location: Corpus Christi, TX 78412 (Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area)
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Nurse
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Antepartum Unit (OB, OBED, PACU)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7P–7A); 36 hours/week
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing / Contract
- Weekend Requirement: Mandatory 2 weekend shifts per month (possible 4)
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Minimum Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D nurse experience required)
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state (Travel Nurse licensure accepted)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FHM)
- Ability to circulate C-sections and manage high-risk antepartum patients
- Experience caring for COVID-positive obstetric patients across labor, C-section, antepartum, and OBED
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Labor and Delivery nursing care to low- and high-risk obstetric patients
- Circulate and assist with C-sections and surgical procedures (Cerclage, BTLD, D&C for PPH)
- Monitor and manage patients in OBED, PACU, and antepartum units; respond to emergent OB situations
- Use EMR systems (CPN and Meditech) for accurate documentation and patient care coordination
- Float to low-risk antepartum unit as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary obstetrics teams
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and evidence-based obstetric nursing practices
