Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or valid compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down/acute care experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (travel nurse schedule)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers—to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while upholding patient safety and facility standards
