Job Details
- Position: Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 (Competitive travel nursing pay)
- Location: Bangor, ME 04401 — Bangor, Maine healthcare job
- Setting: Med-Surg Ortho Unit (Orthopedic nursing, post-operative care)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site — Maine travel nursing jobs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Maine RN license required
- BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; Telemetry experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, not required
- Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and flexibility with hours
- Team player with commitment to orthopedic nursing best practices and patient safety
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Med-Surg Orthopedics unit, including post-operative and orthopedic patient management
- Perform patient care functions as approved by the Maine Board of Nursing
- Work under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, PT/OT, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Demonstrate compassion, integrity, collaboration, and clinical excellence in orthopedic and med-surg nursing
