• Position: Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 (Competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Bangor, ME 04401 — Bangor, Maine healthcare job
• Setting: Med-Surg Ortho Unit (Orthopedic nursing, post-operative care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Maine RN license required
• BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; Telemetry experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, not required
• Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and flexibility with hours
• Team player with commitment to orthopedic nursing best practices and patient safety

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Med-Surg Orthopedics unit, including post-operative and orthopedic patient management
• Perform patient care functions as approved by the Maine Board of Nursing
• Work under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, PT/OT, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate compassion, integrity, collaboration, and clinical excellence in orthopedic and med-surg nursing
