Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010 - $2,160
• Location: Columbia, South Carolina (Columbia, SC 29203)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Call requirements will be discussed during interview; includes weekend call coverage
• Orientation: 30 hours
• Role: CVOR Surgical Technologist / Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech (travel contract)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR Surgical Tech or Cardiovascular OR surgical technologist experience
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
• NBSTSA certification or NCCT accepted if employed as a Surgical Tech in South Carolina prior to January 1, 2008
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces
• EPIC EMR experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Local candidates accepted if residing over 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular and vascular operating room procedures as a CVOR Surgical Technologist
• Assist surgeons and perioperative team in maintaining a sterile field and following OR protocols
• Prepare, inspect, and maintain surgical instruments, implants, and specialized cardiovascular equipment
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend coverage as needed for emergency CVOR cases
• Float to other units per hospital needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV Teams, Radiology, PACU)
• Provide perioperative care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a high-volume hospital setting
