Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist (ICU/ER experience preferred)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; CRT with NBRC credentials considered
• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapy license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proven ability to follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and department policies
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulmonary function testing

Responsibilities

• Provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients
• Manage mechanical ventilators, initiate ventilator protocols, and provide ventilator weaning support
• Perform airway maintenance, intubations, and insertion of arterial lines as needed
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, including respiratory procedures in critical care
• Deliver medicated aerosols and manage medical compressed gas therapy
• Conduct pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analyses
• Document respiratory care, maintain equipment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
