Travel Surgical Technologist (CVOR) – Cambridge, MA (26-Week Travel Contract)

Travel Surgical Technologist (CVOR) in Cambridge, MA | NBSTSA & BLS required | 26-week contract — work in a hospital CVOR supporting cardiac (open heart) and general surgery in the Boston metro area. Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
Location: Cambridge, MA 02138 (Boston metro area)
Contract Duration: 26 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 10/24/2026)
Shift: 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM start), call required for cardiovascular cases
Hours: 40 hours per week (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
Setting: Hospital Operating Room – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Surgical Tech

Minimum Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent CVOR surgical tech experience, including open heart procedures
NBSTSA certification required
BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
Ability to work across multiple surgical areas (Cardiac, General, etc.)
Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months to be eligible
Local candidates not accepted — travel candidates only

Responsibilities

Assist surgeons and the OR team during cardiovascular and general surgical procedures
Prepare, maintain, and decontaminate sterile fields and surgical instruments; ensure proper instrument counts
Provide perioperative support for open heart and other cardiac cases, including scrub and circulating duties
Take call for cardiovascular cases as required and respond promptly to emergent surgical needs
Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality perioperative patient care
