• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $2010 (Travel Nurse rate)
• Location: Englewood, CO 80112 (Denver metro area)
• Setting: Behavioral Health Division — acute stabilization hospital
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• End Date: July 20, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (19:00–07:00) — psych night shift experience preferred
• Hours per Week: 36 (weekends included)
• Patient Population: Adolescents (13–17), Adults (18+)
• Patient Ratios: 1:12 (Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, Adult Acute); 1:10 (Adult Dual Diagnosis / SUD)
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Job Requirements (Psych RN Qualifications)

• Active RN license (Colorado RN or compact nursing license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience (psych nursing, acute stabilization)
• Strong de-escalation skills and experience managing behavioral crises
• Ability to float to all behavioral health units as needed
• Preferred: experience with medical/dual diagnosis, CIWA and COWS assessments, and substance use disorder (SUD) care

Responsibilities (Psychiatric Nursing Duties)

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to adolescent and adult patients in an acute behavioral health setting
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients for acute stabilization, common psychiatric diagnoses, and behavioral crises
• Utilize proven de-escalation techniques to ensure patient and staff safety on psych units
• Perform CIWA and COWS assessments and participate in withdrawal and dual-diagnosis care when indicated
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, therapists, social workers) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float between adolescent and adult units as required to meet patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in the HCS EHR system and ensure compliance with behavioral health documentation standards
