Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel healthcare job
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,010 – $1,090
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) – rehab hospital / skilled nursing environment
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00pm – 6:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- Completion Bonus: $1,000 for completing the full contract with satisfactory attendance
- Location: Madison, WI 53718 (Madison, Wisconsin travel nursing / rehab jobs)
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation as appropriate
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active CNA or Patient Care Tech (PCT) certification (Certified Nursing Assistant preferred)
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in skilled nursing, med-surg, or other 24/7 skilled care unit
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation hospital or IRF strongly preferred
- EMR experience required; EPIC experience preferred
- Proven ability to work night shift in high-acuity rehab or skilled nursing settings
- Strong attendance record, reliability, and team-player mentality
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving clinical needs
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults receiving inpatient rehabilitation services, supporting recovery and functional outcomes
- Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as ceiling lifts, Sara Steady, slide boards, gait belts, and mechanical lifts
- Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Support wound care basics, feeding tube assistance, oxygen delivery, and other delegated nursing tasks per facility policy
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and help promote safe, independent function
- Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy teams to maximize patient recovery
- Accurately document care and interventions in EPIC EMR and follow charting standards
- Adhere to infection control practices, isolation precautions, and facility policies and procedures
- Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as required
