Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,010 – $1,090
- Location: Madison, WI 53718 (Madison healthcare jobs, Wisconsin travel healthcare)
- Setting: Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital – 49 beds (Inpatient Rehab, high-acuity)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (18:00–06:30) — Night shift PCT/CNA role
- Hours per Week: 36
- Type: Travel Patient Care Tech / Travel CNA position
- Completion Bonus: $1,000 for full contract completion with satisfactory attendance
Break Policy for 12-Hour Shifts
- Each 12-hour shift includes a mandatory 30-minute unpaid meal break and two 15-minute paid breaks.
- Staff are required to clock out for the 30-minute unpaid meal break.
- These breaks are scheduled to ensure adequate rest and compliance with facility policy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, med-surg, or other 24/7 skilled care units
- Active CNA or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
- EMR experience required; EPIC preferred (EPIC EHR charting)
- Strong attendance record, reliable, and a collaborative team-player mentality
- Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and holiday rotations as required
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation needs
- Perform CNA/PCT duties including assisting with activities of daily living, bathing, toileting, and transfers
- Assist with mobility equipment and safe transfers (ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, slide boards) and support rehabilitation goals
- Monitor and document vital signs, blood glucose, intake/output, and support feeding tube care
- Support wound care, isolation precautions, and supplemental oxygen delivery per facility protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure patient safety and timely response to call lights
- Accurately chart patient information using EPIC electronic health record (EHR)
