• Setting: Surgery Unit 2 – Intermediate Care (Operating Room / Perioperative)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel OR RN)
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• End Date: July 29, 2026
• Duration: 14 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00)
• Shift Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Job Requirements (OR RN / Perioperative Nurse)

• Active RN license (Virginia or compact state) — Virginia nursing jobs / travel nursing license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience (perioperative/surgical nurse experience preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in surgical specialties such as Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric PACU, or Pediatric OR is a plus
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient safety focus

Responsibilities (Operating Room Registered Nurse)

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments, handoffs, and care coordination
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized OR environment following aseptic technique and perioperative standards
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the medical record
• Respond promptly to emergencies, changes in patient condition, and perioperative complications
