Travel OR RN – Cambridge, MA. 13-week travel nursing assignment for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (perioperative/surgical RN).
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,570 - $2,700 (Travel Nurse pay)
- Location: Cambridge, MA 02139 (Cambridge/Boston area travel nursing job). Cambridge is a vibrant city known for its rich history, diverse community, and proximity to Boston. - Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm), 4 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- On-Call: Every 5-6 evenings and every 6th or 7th weekend (flexibility required)
- Holiday Coverage: Must work every other major holiday
Required Qualifications – Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nurse
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (travel experience required; first-time travelers not considered)
- Active Massachusetts RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications
- Flu vaccine required during season
- Two recent manager/supervisor references in matching specialty
- Completed skills checklist matching perioperative specialty
- Driver's license with address matching demographics
- EMR experience preferred: EPIC (experience with EPIC charting is a plus for surgical/OR documentation)
Responsibilities – Surgical / Perioperative Nursing
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room as an OR RN / surgical nurse
- Assist with thoracic surgery, surgical pathology, sub-acute, pediatric PACU, and pediatric OR cases
- Maintain flexibility with scheduling, including on-call evenings and holiday shifts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Document care accurately using EMR systems (EPIC preferred); maintain clear perioperative records
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety standards
