• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1840–$1940
• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401) — Tuscaloosa healthcare opportunity
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00) — typical travel RN schedule
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend; holidays as required
• Parking: Available
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact RN license required (no temporary licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• At least 18 months overall RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit with a typical 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions (pneumonia, COPD, shortness of breath) and a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses
• Provide care for medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and post-operative/surgical needs
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and handoff communications to ensure continuity of care
• Work in an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a 1:4 ratio as needed
• Float to other units and hospitals as required by the health system
• Adhere to facility policies, including weekend and holiday rotations; maintain documentation in the EMR
