• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730 (Travel nurse pay)
• Location: Smyrna, Tennessee (Zip: 37167) — Tennessee nursing jobs, Smyrna healthcare
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — 12 beds, 4:1 patient ratio (step-down/PCU)
• Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs
• Scheduling: Every other weekend required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Tennessee or compact state (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down nursing experience
• Experience with GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Meditech documentation preferred
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Travel nurse experience and flexibility to float with full-time staff and other travelers preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to PCU patients, including post-cath care and advanced pulmonary treatments
• Perform medication titration, patient education, and bedside teaching
• Use AIDET communication techniques and maintain patient communication boards to improve patient experience
• Collaborate with unit techs, secretaries, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech and adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols
• Float in rotation with full-time staff and other travel nurses as needed to support unit coverage
