• Location: Smyrna, TN 37167 (Nashville area) — ICU nursing jobs in Tennessee
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: August 3, 2026
• Setting: 16-bed ICU, Trauma Level III
• Patient Ratio: 2:1 (critical care)
• Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs

Qualifications (ICU RN Requirements)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Experience with ventilator management, sedation, and medication titration preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system is a plus
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed

Key Responsibilities (Critical Care Nurse Duties)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU
• Manage ventilators, sedation protocols, and titration of critical medications
• Assist with critical procedures: tracheostomy care, bronchoscopy support, cardioversion, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, respiratory therapists, techs, and unit secretaries
• Operate and monitor GE cardiac monitors, Dräger ventilators, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis medication systems
• Document accurately using Meditech and maintain timely clinical notes
• Provide patient and family education, maintain communication boards, and follow AIDET communication standards
• Participate in staff rotation, support a positive patient experience, and contribute to unit quality initiatives
