Job Requirements

• Active RN license (must meet Tennessee state requirements for travel assignments)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of recent PCU, progressive care, or similar acute care experience
• Experience with GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Meditech documentation preferred
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and problem-solving skills; excellent patient communication

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients including post-catheterization care, advanced pulmonary treatments, and medication titration
• Monitor patient status (telemetry/monitoring) and promptly respond to changes in condition
• Utilize AIDET communication techniques and maintain communication boards to support patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with unit techs, secretaries, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Float as needed within rotation with full-time staff and other travelers — flexible travel nursing assignments and teamwork required
