Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Nights in Nashville, TN 37207. Seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with an active Tennessee or compact RN license, BLS, and 1+ year of recent medical-surgical telemetry experience to support a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing
• Location: Nashville, TN 37207 (Music City) - RN jobs Nashville, TN
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (4th Floor, 34 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) - Night Shift RN
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Staffing Support: Unit Secretary (days), Patient Care Techs (PCTs) on all shifts
• Floating: May float to other departments as needed
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (compact license accepted)
• BLS certification required; ACLS a plus
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (medical-surgical telemetry nurse)
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Experience with Meditech or similar electronic medical record systems
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care on a 34-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize arrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Meditech
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and experience
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations and staffing
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards
