Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Dickson, TN (37055) — Nashville-area travel nurse opportunity
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: August 3, 2026
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) — 6 beds, expanding soon
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Floating: May float to ICU overflow unit
• Dress Code: Galaxy Blue or Pewter scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience as an ICU RN or critical care nurse
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Comfortable working as a travel nurse and adapting to unit-specific protocols

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to medically complex and critically ill patients in a 6-bed ICU
• Maintain patient ratios typically at 2:1 with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 as needed
• Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures: central line and arterial line management, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and intubation
• Utilize advanced monitoring and equipment, including GE monitors, Arctic Sun, and continuous EEG
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physician staff, nurse techs, and unit secretaries
• Float to ICU overflow unit as required and document care accurately in Meditech
• Adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies, procedures, and quality standards
