Travel ER RN — Lincoln, IL | 13-week night shift travel nurse assignment (Cerner, ACLS, PALS). Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Lincoln, Illinois. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers a chance to work in a dynamic community hospital Emergency Department (adult & pediatric) and care for a diverse patient population while living in a friendly, historic city with easy access to outdoor recreation.

Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:30 – 07:00), Friday/Saturday/Sunday — ideal for experienced night shift ER RNs and travel nurses
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: General Emergency Department – Combined Adult/Pediatric (Emergency Department RN role)
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting System: Cerner (experience with Cerner required)
• Guaranteed Hours: Up to 36 hours may be called off per 13-week assignment
• Orientation: 36 hours

ER RN Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of application (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to care for patients across all age groups in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Willingness to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for a wide range of conditions including trauma, medical emergencies, and psychiatric crises
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, blood products, and manage ventilated patients
• Interpret arterial blood gases, manage dysrhythmias, and perform 12-lead EKGs
• Manage acute conditions such as CVA, overdoses, burns, respiratory failure, seizures, and traumatic injuries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner charting system and adhere to charting best practices
• Adhere to isolation precautions, infection control, and PPE protocols
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules by assigned deadlines
