Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620 – $2,760
• Setting: Surgical Services / Perioperative Nursing (PACU, Pre/Post-Op, GI)
• Shift: 4x10 hour days (36 guaranteed hours per week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel RN / PACU travel nursing job)
• On-Call: No call required

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience in surgery and GI (perioperative nursing experience preferred)
• 2–5 years of progressive leadership or supervisor experience preferred
• Strong PACU, pre-op and post-op assessment skills
• Excellent communication and documentation/writing skills
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health records

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support staff across SSSU/PACU and GI units as PACU RN Supervisor
• Assist with hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations for perioperative staff
• Lead staff meetings, education, and quality initiatives to promote best patient outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and leadership for issue resolution and performance improvement
• Provide direct patient care, including assessment and recognition of post-anesthesia and post-operative complications in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient perioperative work environment
