• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 - $2,550

Job Requirements – Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience preferred
• MIRT required
• Ability to work day shifts and follow established radiology and radiation safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures involving radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment of patients, including diagnostic radionuclide imaging and therapeutic procedures
• Coordinate and schedule patients for routine and emergency nuclear medicine procedures; manage patient flow efficiently
• Obtain relevant clinical history from patients and ordering physicians as needed to ensure high-quality studies
• Set appropriate technical factors and perform all requested nuclear medicine procedures with accuracy
• Process and enhance images using computer technology and prepare permanent hard copies when required
• Follow strict radiation safety procedures; inform the Radiation Safety Officer of any leaks or spills and take steps to isolate and protect patients and personnel from contamination
