Job Requirements (EMT / Paramedic Qualifications)

  • Minimum 1 year of recent EMT or Paramedic experience within the last 2 years (preferred prior travel experience)
  • Current Virginia EMT or Paramedic Certification required (or approved VA reciprocity with proof of FBI fingerprint check)
  • National EMT Certification required for out-of-state applicants
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700 certifications required
  • Hazmat Awareness certification preferred
  • Skills checklist and detailed work history required upon submission; explain any gaps over 90 days

  • Deliver high-quality patient care following established EMS protocols and standards

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, vitals, and transport activities
  • Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and required certifications
