This 13-week travel contract offers night-shift EMT jobs in a vibrant city known for its scenic beauty, historic charm, and welcoming community. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,320 - $1,420
- Location: Lynchburg, VA (24501) — Virginia EMT jobs / Lynchburg EMS jobs
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 7:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Contract — travel EMT jobs / EMS travel opportunity
- Role Focus: Ground transport, patient care, non-driving transport support
- Uniform: Pants and shirts provided
- Orientation Dates: May 4 & May 18 (every other week on Mondays)
Job Requirements (EMT / Paramedic Qualifications)
- Minimum 1 year of recent EMT or Paramedic experience within the last 2 years (preferred prior travel experience)
- Current Virginia EMT or Paramedic Certification required (or approved VA reciprocity with proof of FBI fingerprint check)
- National EMT Certification required for out-of-state applicants
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700 certifications required
- Hazmat Awareness certification preferred
- Skills checklist and detailed work history required upon submission; explain any gaps over 90 days

- Provide emergency medical care and ground transport services during night shifts as an EMT
- Deliver high-quality patient care following established EMS protocols and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, emergency responders, and hospital staff
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during transport
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, vitals, and transport activities
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and required certifications
- Adhere to facility and agency guidelines while wearing the provided uniform
- Non-driving role focused on patient care and transport support — essential for EMT night shift positions
